Hurricane Katrina - Personal Stories

My post will be one among many on this subject I'm sure, but if you only read one account of Hurricane Katrina, then make it this one from two paramedics from California that were attending the EMS conference in New Orleans.

Concorde - Final Takeoff Recording

Amongst all the hyperbole that was the coverage of Concorde's final flight, I found this gem of a recording.

Airband radio scanning has always had a certain bizarre attraction to me. However, the best bit in this case is near the end, where the pilot is clearly negotiating with Air Traffic Control to fly over his house .....
